redemption

project

Over these past seven years, we have seen countless individuals start on the right path, but never go all of the way. We have seen them come through the doors with a multitude of problems, and give up. We can either accept this as collateral damage of ministry, or we can do something about it.

We are going to do something about it! We are pleased to announce the redemption project. The redemption project is the next step toward furthering the vision that God has for us. We have worked with many who have never really had a shot of starting over. Some dropped out of school, others only know how to deal drugs. It is very difficult to start a new life when you are in terrible surroundings.

We want to offer a safe place where individuals can live for two - three months, maybe longer if needed, and start a brand new life. We are in the process of lining up counselors, job-training possibilities, GED opportunities and computer training.  One of the main obstacles is a location. We do not have the right facilities or the finances to acquire the buildings that will be needed. But we aren’t going to allow lack of space to stop us from beginning this project! We are going ahead and starting the non-residential section of the program. We believe that this is a natural coupling with Discover Recovery. Some of the individuals who come to us for help are not able to live without proper structure and accountability in their lives.

Would you pray with us for this project? Three of our core values at the Gospel Center are hope, love and redemption. We believe that the Redemption Project is one of the projects that all three of these values culminate in. Showing individuals love, offering them hope by giving them a second chance and offering them the redemption of Jesus Christ.

We realize that this will be a huge undertaking, but we believe that this step is essential for the ministry here in Lebanon. We need to do something to help stop the decay in our society. And we believe that this step is vital to accomplish the vision that God has laid out for us at the Gospel Center.
